• Can be gradual or sudden
• Symptoms include a dull or sharp pain in the arms or shoulders, weakness or tingling |

• A bulging or ruptured disc in the upper back area
• Can be gradual or sudden
• Symptoms include a dull or sharp pain in the arms or shoulders, weakness or tingling |
| Herniated Lumbar Disc |
• A disc in the lower back that bulges out of place causing pain
• Can be gradual or sudden
• Symptoms include a dull or sharp pain in the legs, weakness or tingling, sciatica |
| General Disc Degeneration |
• Can be the result of age-related wear and tear or disease
• Can still occur in younger people |
| Spinal Fracture |
• Requires immediate attention
• Can be sports related or the result of osteoporosis

• Curvature of the spine greater than 10 degrees
• Most often caused by spinal deformities, but can also result from injury |
